I Feel Blue

Honestly I don't.  If you had this color on your nails, you wouldn't either!  Introducing, from The Cirque du Soleil Collection, China Glaze Hanging In The Balance and Whirled Away!

Can I tell you I love this color.  I know I say that a lot, but I wouldn't buy the colors if I didn't love them.  Getting WA on my nails was a little difficult, however I don't know if that is the polish or my lack of experience with polishes like this one.  I have seen gobs of indie polishes and have never taken the leap to buy one.  They always seem rather expensive and I have a hard time swallowing nine plus dollars for a polish (no Butter London either).  This seems on WA seems on trend with the indie ones.

The only real bad thing I can say for these polishes is the removal.  Getting the glitter off was like pulling teeth and HITB stained my nails.  But they still are so very gorgeous!

Still pretty in the shade!

Hello Thumb-ilina!  Hope you enjoyed the eye candy!

Stamping fun!

I bought a gorgeous color and needed a design break from the December challenge, so I played a bit.

I used China Glaze No Plain Jane from their Bohemian collection.  I love the color.  The duo chrome is purple and brown, and is harder to see on the nail than the bottle.  However it is still really pretty.  I really like Wet n' Wild Black Crème stamped on top.  It is a great effect.  The plate was Cheeky CH50.

Some more photos to show off the lovely colors!

I like Pie!

When I think of pie I think of a friend of mine and exclaiming, "I like pie!" in a movie he was in.  Well, in honor of Thanksgiving and Ryan Wood, I give you the cherry pie manicure!

I got the idea from Refinery 29.  I guess it is a fashion website. . . I honestly don't know, I just found the picture on google when I was looking for Thanksgiving manicures.

I used OPI Thank So Muchness and China Glaze Sunset Sail.

I really like the look.  It is simple and Thanksgiving-esque without being your typical leaves or Turkey.  I kind of wish I had discovered it earlier, becaues I think I could have done a pie manicure series.  Maybe next year.

Red Rover Red Rover

So here is a lovely red for you.  OPI Thanks So Muchness.  I am not big on red for my nails.  I don't know how to explain it, but I feel very adult when I wear it and it makes me nervous.  I guess it is because when I was a kid you would see women in the movies or on TV with red nails and they would seem mature and rich, I guess.  I am liking it more and more, but I don't think it will be a color I wear on its lonesome very often.  But, you really should feast your eyes on it.

It goes on beautifully and is an excellent shimmery red.  Hope you enjoyed it

Blue gold!

I while back I received several polishes from a friend.  They were all ones that she and her daughter no longer use and she thought I might like them.  I figured a free way to feed my addiction hobby was a good thing and so kindly thanked her for the wondeful gift.  As I went throught them there were a couple of OPI polishes and one day I was bored and thought I would look up one of them online and see what other people had done with it.  You can't imagine my shock to learn that OPI DS Glamour was a highly sought after color.

It really is a very pretty blurple duo chrome.  This pictures do not do it justice.  I couldn't leave it completly alone so after a couple of days of wear time I decided to add the clouds in Finger Paints Paper Mâchè and China Glaze Electric Beat.  I really like the subtle accent nail, that way you don't miss out on the gorgeous color.

I am so grateful for the gift and I intended to use the colors as often as I can, which I do use them from time to time.  Usually if it is Cover Girl it came from this gifted stash.

Golden Nude

You heard me I said nude!  The eight year old in me wants to squeal in laughter.  Ah, innuendos (to which my brother would respond in-your-end-o!  Got to love Scrubs!).  First take a look at this.

Do you see it?  Look how pretty!  This is the base for a design I will post next month, but I wore it like this all day and felt you must see the sparkly goodness.

So, this is China Glaze Dress Me Up and Angel Wings over the top.  It is so neutral and sophisticated with a gorgeous sparkle that flecks gold, red, green, and blue.  Seriously get Angel Wings!  It is from CG current Holiday collection and you will be bummed if you don't buy it.

New colors to play with!

I went to Ulta for the first time and spent a little money.  Hey, I got payed to babysit and I wanted to use the extra money for some OPI polishes which are a rare expensive treat for me.  I wasn't sure that I would really buy anything, but then I saw Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI and it was all over!  I was in love!  Then I saw Don't Talk Bach To Me and thought they were kind of cool together.  That one led me to Schnapps Out Of It!.  I liked the color, but the name did me in.  I don't drink due to personal beliefs, but I couldn't stop chuckling over that one.  Sometimes the names are just as awesome as the colors, am I right?  So I decided to play with my two initial finds.

I wanted to do some stamping, but nothing was really popping out at me, so I went online for some inspiration and saw some matte French tip manis and decided to give it a try.  (Talk about a run on sentence!  Where is that editor when I need her?  Editor. . . wait. . . what?)

I really like it.  It is subtle and shows off the colors rather well in my opinion.

I tried to do one of those cool side pictures, but it didn't work out as nicely as others. . .

Well, I hope you like my play time!

Another Challenge!

I had a lot of fun with the Halloween challenge and I wanted to do another one, but I figured it wasn't a good idea to do one until after the first of the year.  The Holidays get crazy and bedlam tends to ensue.  Then Shannon of Somewhere Over The Polish Rainbow posted about a new challenge for December.  I looked at it and the rules and I thought, "Hey I can do that!"

It doesn't start until December 1st and they have no issue with you doing designs ahead of time as long as you post them for the right day.  Also, you don't have to do all of them, so if it becomes too much for me to do every day I can skip around.  So, this month I am going to try to get at least the last two weeks done and I will post them for next month.  That does leave this month a bit dry, but I have some previous manicures that I can post a couple of while I am working on the others.  So, this month may not be very post heavy, but watch out for next month where it will be bang, crash!

Eep!  I am so excited! I have already done two manicures and just have to write them and pre-date them!
